Creator

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: £25,000

Department: Social & Creative

Who We Are

Serotonin is a performance-driven creative agency based in Manchester. We exist to help consumer brands grow by turning creativity into performance — and performance into culture.

Our clients range from heritage fashion labels to high-growth property brands and global lifestyle businesses. We're not here to just “do social”. We're here to help brands create content that earns attention, starts conversations, and delivers real business outcomes.

And now, we’re hiring a Creator to help make that happen.

The Role

You live online. You think in memes, TikToks, carousels, and captions. You're a born creator — with a talent for making standout content and a hunger to learn how that content fits into a broader strategy.

This is a junior role, but it’s a hands-on one. You’ll be in the mix with clients, strategists, and creatives — helping to ideate, produce, and publish content across multiple platforms.

You’ll support our Post Creative Strategists with research, planning, content production, and scheduling. You’ll spot trends, pitch ideas, edit clips, and build the kind of scroll-stopping assets that get brands noticed.

If you’ve got a solid creative skillset (design, editing, copywriting — or all three), and you want to apply it to fast-paced, high-energy agency work, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Create content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and more — from carousels and captions to video edits and meme posts
  • Assist in building and scheduling monthly content calendars for multiple clients
  • Support the Post Creative Strategists with research, social listening, and trendspotting
  • Capture and edit content from on-site content days or remote asset drops
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions, headlines, and social copy tailored to platform and audience
  • Turn static or video assets into multiple social-ready formats (clips, gifs, thumbnails, reels, quotes, etc.)
  • Monitor social trends, sounds, creators, formats, and viral moments — and use that insight to inform ideas
  • Collaborate closely with the creative, performance, and strategy teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Take and implement feedback quickly, and manage multiple tasks with pace and energy

What You Bring

  • 1+ years experience in a similar role — freelance, in-house, agency, or self-initiated
  • Confident using design and editing tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail in copywriting and visual layout
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and what works best on each
  • A portfolio (or social feed) that shows you get content — whether that’s your own TikTok, client work, or personal projects
  • Energy, passion, and a collaborative spirit — you care about the craft, and about your team
  • Interest in creative strategy and how content ladders up to campaign goals

Perks of the Role

  • £25,000
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Private health insurance, including mental health support
  • Daily breakfast and stocked snack bar
  • Regular team socials (Barry’s Bootcamp, self-defence, comedy nights, etc.)
  • Weekly team run club
  • Pet-friendly Manchester office
  • Opportunity to learn from experienced creatives, strategists, and performance marketers
  • A seat at the table — you’ll be hands-on with real brands, not stuck in the background
Post Creative Strategist

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: £30,000

Department: Social & Marketing

Who We Are

We’re Serotonin — a performance-led creative agency born in Manchester and scaling fast. Since 2019, we’ve grown into a 20+ person team working with some of the most exciting consumer brands in the UK and globally — think ASSOS of Switzerland, Riverstone Living, New & Lingwood and more.

We believe that creative wins customers. And performance keeps them. We exist to deliver both.

We’re not here to just post content and cross our fingers. We’re here to shape culture, start conversations, and convert attention into action.

The Role

We’re looking for a Post Creative Strategist — a social-obsessed creative-thinker who lives online and knows how to turn community insights into scroll-stopping work.

This isn’t just a content scheduling job. It’s about thinking and moving like a creator. You’ll be in-platform every day, spotting trends, building community, fuelling influencer campaigns, and pitching ideas that feel more TikTok than TVC.

You’ll collaborate across strategy, performance, content, and creative to build always-on social calendars that actually work — not just tick a box.

If you thrive in a fast-paced agency, love turning real-time insight into reactive ideas, and believe brand isn’t what you say but what you post, then this could be your moment.

What You’ll Do

Content & Channel Strategy

  • Own the social strategy for multiple clients — from daily TikToks to long-form content campaigns
  • Build monthly content calendars backed by insight, trends, and creative thinking
  • Produce copy and caption banks that sound more like the internet and less like a press release
  • Work with our creative and production teams to brief, plan, and execute content days/shoots
  • Analyse what works (and what flops) across platforms and feed it back into your thinking

Community, Culture & Trends

  • Stay glued to the algorithm — know what’s blowing up, what’s getting binned, and why
  • Run daily social listening and trendspotting sessions
  • Engage with followers, reply to comments, and help brands sound human
  • Manage influencer outreach, product seeding, and brand partnerships

Strategy & Client Thinking

  • Bring the voice of the customer into every campaign
  • Write decks, insights, and creative rationales that sell the idea and the outcome
  • Support client reporting with performance breakdowns, trend commentary, and forward recommendations
  • Be the go-to for social-first ideas that ladder up to business results

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in a similar social-first role — whether at an agency, in-house, or freelancing
  • A finger on the pulse of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and whatever’s next
  • Experience crafting content calendars, writing copy, and planning influencer or brand campaigns
  • An instinct for what makes good content — plus experience with basic tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Suite
  • Confidence in front of clients and collaborators — you can pitch ideas clearly and back them up with insight
  • Comfortable working fast, flexibly, and cross-functionally
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, and how brand and performance can work together

Perks of the Role

  • £26-30k depending on experience
  • 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Private health insurance, including mental health and counselling support
  • Daily breakfast + stocked snack bar
  • Quarterly social events (recent hits: Barry’s Bootcamp, comedy nights, self-defence classes)
  • Weekly team run club (not mandatory — we promise)
  • Pet-friendly office
  • Team lunches, dinners, and random treats
  • Access to reduced dental and optician fees via Health Shield

Paid Social Executive

Overview

This role is not for everyone.

We’re not looking for someone to run campaigns. We’re looking for someone to own them — to take real responsibility, drive results that matter, and help shape the next chapter of our agency’s growth.

About Us, Serotonin

We’re a performance-driven digital marketing agency based in Manchester, working with eCommerce, lifestyle, and FMCG brands that are serious about growth. Our clients range from funded start-ups to established global names - and they come to us because we get results.

We do strategy. We do media. We do growth.

At Serotonin, there’s no red tape, no middle management bloat, and no “coasting” culture. We move fast, challenge mediocrity, and expect everyone here to raise the bar - for themselves and others.

What You'll Do

  • Own paid social campaign performance from strategy to execution — across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn & more
  • Launch, optimise, test, and scale campaigns based on hard data and sharp thinking
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, and media teams to build campaigns that actually convert
  • Report with clarity - not vagueness - and tie everything back to performance
  • Contribute to audits, forecasts, strategic planning, and client presentations
  • Actively seek ways to do better: faster, smarter, and leaner
  • Work closely with the Head of Paid Social and challenge ideas when needed

This role isn’t task-based. It’s outcome-based. Your performance is measured on results, not inputs. That’s the kind of freedom - and pressure - we offer.

What You'll Need

  • 2–3+ years’ experience running campaigns in Meta Ads Manager
  • Evidence you’ve improved performance on real campaigns (not just hit “boost”)
  • Strong data and analysis skills (Google Sheets & Excel)
  • Strategic thinking — you don’t just follow instructions, you ask why
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time across multiple client accounts
  • Experience with TikTok, LinkedIn or other paid social platforms is a bonus
  • Desire to grow, learn, and level up — quickly
  • Comfortable receiving and giving honest feedback
  • Hunger to win, not just work

What You'll Get In Return

💸 £28,000–£30,000 DOE
🧘♀️ 28 days holiday (plus Bank Hols)
🕐 Flexible start/finish times
🥣 Free daily breakfast
🧠 Private health insurance (incl. mental health support & dental/optical perks)
🐶 Pet-friendly office
📅 Social calendar: hikes, comedy nights, yoga, and more
🍕 Team lunches & dinners
🚀 A role with runway - if you’re hungry to grow, we’ll back you

Who Thrives Here

You’ll thrive at Serotonin if:

  • You take ownership of problems and outcomes, not just tasks
  • You believe feedback is a gift — and you actively seek it
  • You prefer freedom and high expectations over micromanagement
  • You’re obsessed with improving: yourself, your campaigns, your team
  • You think commercially, not just creatively
  • You want to be surrounded by people who make you better

You won’t thrive here if:

  • You’re looking to coast
  • You don’t want to be held to a high standard
  • You’re uncomfortable with change, challenge, or direct communication

Recruiters - we mean it:

We don’t work with you. Don’t call, email, or try.

Creative Copywriter

Writing a job description for a copywriter is like writing in a colleague’s birthday card and, if you are a copywriter, you will know exactly what I mean by that.

So, to make things easier (for me) why not come and work at Serotonin (oh yeah, we are hiring a copywriter btw) and then you can do the words, so I don’t have to.

All you need to know is:

  • We’re looking for someone with agency experience. That's because we are fast-paced blah blah highly creative etc etc but also because, if you’ve worked at an agency before, you’ll bring with you an understanding of what it takes to juggle multiple brand voices over the space of an hour without losing your mind. And that is a very specific kind of skill.
  • We need someone who wants to work within a multi-disciplinary creative team, where no two days are the same (oh god these cliches please come save me). This is a place where writing is pretty much pivotal to every campaign output, from PPC ads to social media content to brand strategy. TL;DR this role has a lot going on.
  • We want a copywriter who is looking to develop and progress in their career, someone who reflects our values (Tenacity, Transparency, and Teamwork) and will be a fun person to have around. Basically, not a dick.
  • The salary range for this role £26,500 - £29,500, depending on your experience and what you can bring to the table

Here’s a bit more detail:

  • We’re based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It’s a great office with good people who like working collaboratively, so we come into the office Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. If that’s not for you, that’s cool, but we probably aren’t right for each other :)

Day to day the role can include any and all of:

  • Writing social media content and ads
  • Planning and writing blogs and content strategies
  • Developing or positioning a brand tone of voice
  • Working alongside the head of creative and social media manager to come up with banging creative campaign ideas
  • Editing content
  • Writing websites and emails for a whole range of brands
  • Proofreading the account management team’s emails so they don’t sound too salty
  • Writing job descriptions (rather you than me 🥳)

And some perks of the job:

  • 28 days holiday per annum (not incl. Bank Holidays)
  • Health insurance inc. Mental Health & Counselling support
  • Free daily breakfast provided in the office
  • Free snack and drinks bar within the office
  • At least 6 quarterly social events as part of the Serotonin social calendar, recently including: Yoga, Self-defence classes, Peak District hike, Barry’s Bootcamp, Comedy Night, Junkyard Golf, Run Club
  • Team lunches/ dinners
  • Pet friendly office (hope you like dogs)
  • Access and reduced opticians & dental fees (via Health shield)
  • Opportunity for work to be submitted against backdrop of awards ceremonies Serotonin was shortlisted for seven awards in 2022, winning four and highly commended for two
